  1. L’étourderie / Wet Boy / She was /…, Camille
In L’étourderie, Camille sings the woman in love and we know what she means because we feel the same towards this track and in fact we’re in love with the whole album, Ilo Veyou ;). It is a little bit of her vocal acrobaties, a little bit of the fun and playfulness and it is a lot of the melodies. Tiki
  2. A l’ombre du coeur de ma mie (in the shadow of my beloved’s heart), Debademba (Georges Brassens)
It is a wonderful year celebrating Brassens sees the release of a number of his songs with round the world interpretations. Brassens echo du monde is the album that take French legendary singer-songwriter Brassens around the world. His internationally tracks used in the album include authentic English translation by Pierre de Gaillande of the infamous song 95%, a Spanish version, a Russian rendition, a Japanese interpretation of the well-known ‘les amoureux des bancs publics’ (lovers on public seats) and an absolute favourite, Malian’s singer-songwriter Debademba’s personal tribute to Brassens through this track. This same year, the album ‘Sète au village’ (Sete in the village; Brassens’ birth town is Sete and rhymes in French with the world Fête i.e. celebration).
  3. Someone like you, Adele
The undeniable emotions in the voice of Adele and her melodic plea rekindle every dead feelings, and no doubt, at least for the length of a song, those of the sung past partner. Mateo
  4. Coucou, Charlotte Dipanda
This addicitve song is the second track on Dipanda’s 2011 release Dube I’am (My belief). Douala, Africa and its diaspora fell in love with Charlotte Dipanda’s voice, acoustic backing music and her loving and reassuring song to a partner in emotional turmoil. The world is catching up. Tiki
  5. Everybody’s scared, Michael Cassidy
The talented Scottish singer-songwriter shows a lot of maturity in his music craft as well as his lyric writing, penning here a much well-written song. Tiki
  6. Imidiwan Win Sahara,  Tinawiren
    from the album Tassili
  7. Baker Street, Gerry Rafferty
Remembering Rafferty through his Essential collection
  8. Come home, Yael Naim
  9. La Seine, Vanessa Paradis & M
The talented Matthieu Chedid aka M collaborates once again with the famous French singer Vanessa Paradis to deliver a lovely cabaret soundtrack to the animated movie Un Monstre à Paris, hommage to the Parisian river, floating along the film, La Seine.
  10. ?, United Flavour
The multicultural band Spain meets Senegal and lives in Prague appropriately named United Flavour delivers another album where this track shines by its ???
  11. Bissa, Fatoumata Diawara
  12. Inside me Anoushka shankar
A case of fusion has taken over Anoushka Shankar, Sitar master after her famous father Ravi Shankar and holding her own next to famous sister Norah Jones. Classic Indian meets flavours of Flamenco and its Spanish roots, beautifully.
  13. Ate Aye, Muntu Valdo
  14. Maudy Tree, Blueflint
  15. James Morrisson
    The awakening
