Friday 24th June – How Does Youth Culture Age? (13.00-1700hrs) Free tickets
Its start of the new WARP festival at the Whitworth, taking place  this coming weekend that full of lots of good art. 
 
One of the free events on friday is How Does Youth Culture Age? that presents us with a series of conversations about notions of ageing and youth culture. Nice panel line up including John Hyatt of the immortal punk band Three Johns & MIRIAD Manchester School of Art doing his bit for ‘di youths of today over 50 😉
 
European Beat Studies Conference, Wonder Inn (Mon 27th, Tues 28th, Weds 29th June) Day event tickets available
 
An amazing 3 day event presented by the European Beat Studies Network team of Dr. Doug and Prof Oliver Harris featuring an exploration of the  Beat poets generation. 
 
 
Hosting quite a diverse line up of talks that include Atomica Psychedelica over to  a Mimeo workshops – that original handcranked  printing experience that revolutionized diy printing- Viva Le Roi Jones! 😉 
 
Much more from the likes of local music historian and  legend CP Lee, and the likes of Ginsberg, Burroughs and many more of our faves Beats!
