“Bustin’ Seams” is the fourth single from New York City-based artist Junk Made Ill (JMI). With the release of the single earlier this year, the “Bustin’ Seams” music video is sure to make a splash. Self-produced, “Bustin’ Seams” breaks through the indie music scene with a truly original and bold sound. The multi-genre artist created the single and it’s video through unique circumstances.
“I ran an extension cord out the window, down to the unit below me for electricity“, said JMI. “I sold furniture/clothes equipment. I went all in to make this video.”
With the release of the single earlier this year, the “Bustin’ Seams” music video is sure to make a splash. Shot on an undisclosed, deserted island, the video for “Bustin’ Seams” finds JMI buried alive and being dramatically unearthed. She uses this video to show isolation as a backlash of the battle against social norms.
Director of Photography, Ryan Broomberg impresses with dominating color and pace; while the innovative group choreography of (Amber Renee Smith, Malak Lunsford, Julia Neveu and Jacques Debrose), intoxicates. JMI is backed by ultra-talented, indie filmmaker Nira Burstein, whose network of talents paired with the explosive, off-the-grid direction of A.R. Holsomback masterfully bolsters the JMI formula.
Complimented by the signature grittiness of JMI’s live performance, the Sony Orchard distributed single, provokes, inspires, and captivates. Released by 7 Crown Records, JMI’s “Bustin’ Seams” is the escape from “[the] drugs [the] beers [the] words [the] fears.”You can stream “Bustin’ Seams” on all Sony/Orchard distributed platforms. The video will be released August 17 on YouTube. To keep up with updates follow JMI on Instagram.
