Reverend & The Makers: Special Guests with The Libertines & The Courteeners

Reverend & The Makers, whose new album, Mirrors, was their fifth to go Top Twenty in the UK album charts last month, have just been announced as special guests on the forthcoming tours with The Courteeners in December and Arena shows with the Libertines in January. The full dates are:

DECEMBER with The Courteeners:

THU 17th Glasgow O2 Academy
FRI 18th Manchester O2 Apollo
SAT 19th Manchester O2 Apollo

JANUARY with The Libertines:

THU 21st Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena
SAT 23rd Manchester Arena
MON 25th Nottingham Arena

Mirrors received rave reviews on its release, was championed by Noel Gallagher & Carl Barât and has been picking up radio support from BBC 6, Radio 2, Beats 1 and Radio X. A special CD & DVD version of Mirrors is available with a film by acclaimed director Roger Sargent, filmed in Jamaica to accompany each song on the album. To coincide with the release of the album singer Jon McClure released a book of his lyrics and poetry, illustrated by Horace Panter from the Specials, The Lyrics and Poetry of Jon McClure with Illustrations by Horace Panter.

The band are currently on the road in the UK, having sold out shows at the Academy in Sheffield and the Ritz in Manchester amongst others, are causing scenes of mayhem wherever they go. The remaining dates are:

Reverend and the Makers have achieved five UK Top 20 Albums and five Top Five Indie chart singles: debut album The State of Things (2007) included the UK Top Five single Heavyweight Champion Of the World. Second album A French Kiss In The Chaos followed in 2009 and saw the band supporting Oasis on their final tour at stadiums across the UK and also a UK tour with fellow Sheffielders Arctic Monkeys. Their third album @Reverend Makers was released in 2012 and their first for Cooking Vinyl, the fourth album Thirty Two was unleashed in 2014.
