It is so easy to forget people when they are not in your face all the time. Yet again, maybe some singer-songwriters need to be in your face to be noticed. This talented artist lets her music do the talking.
She is better known for her soulful contribution to the acclaimed “Waiting to Exhale”. The original soundtrack album includes her first release ever “And I gave my love to you”. She is also the only singer on the album to have contributed the full lyric to her track.
The gifted artist is a Groove-infectious reasoning poetess. She has the knack of delivering spoken word over evocative piano. With that, she seems to release not just music but a spirit beyond the very boundaries of music laws. Her sound style takes the listener on the type of trip worth partaking at least once in one’s human experience.

- And I gave my love to you – This is the classic from Waiting to Exhale, that introduced us to the poetess. Inspired music professional Babyface wrote and produced original soundtrack. My Funny Valentine is the only song Babyface did not write. Of the remaining 15 songs, only 3 were penned collaboratively. One of these is this track, which our lovely songwriter co-wrote.
- Mon Dieu – This classily quiet groove slowly and surely takes over the listener. Its original praise rendition incorporates occasional Latin guitar and Jazz-infused moments.
- Alone, Dancing is the title of this track. Those who have listened to it a few times might want to refer to it as “My feet hurt”, a sentence that replies the best to the title and echoes in the back of the song.
