Nega Blast X is a trance techno industrial music project formed in 2010 by Burbank music arranger and author Dominic R Daniel’s. The sound is similar to New Order.
Give Me E is Nega Blast X’s second release. The album offers a sating variety of trance genres, varying in pace (the hypnotic track Dream State comes to mind, slowing down the journey as would an alternate perspective of trance), time and instrumentation (as we explore later in this review), and even planets, sometimes using in some otherworldly inspired sounds.
There are tracks that are resolutely trance and set in without breaking the framework. The title track thus awakens the body into a frantic dance mode very much reflecting the substance it compares itself to. The track Breaker encourages the mind and body into a similar mode.
Candy Kids continues on the electronic dance thread whilst introducing a funky feeling in which the eighties meet the sonic waves that support games. The traditional meets the futuristic between the soulful voice that fits perfectly into that decade and the special effects that then denoted the future, like a little forward to the past.
And yet with its closing piece, Alpha and Omega, a track that oozes with grandiose orchestral elements, Nega Blast X’s album leaves us with a taste of an atmosphere of epic dimensions, transcending the universe of dance.
