SACRED MOUNTAIN, Incidents in the Life of QUEEN NANNY of the MAROONS, is a hypnotic psychological narrative based on the life of Jamaica’s Boudicca, with original concept, libretto and music composed by the esteemed composer, Shirley J. Thompson.
Notably performing is English soprano opera and concert singer Abigail Kelly is (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abigail_Kelly).
This announces itself as an evening to remember, packed with women of standing from the inspirational Queen Nanny of the Maroons, Jamaican emblem and national hero to the accomplished Shirley Thompson and the amazing Abigail Kelly. If nothing else (which I certainly doubt), this will be an evening celebrating female empowerment.
