Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Raféu is a multi-talented artist whose mixed origins and cultures have nurtured his craft and creative growth. The singer, actor, model, dancer, teacher, choreographer, writer, and director blends a pedigree of South Asian, Middle Eastern and Oriental descent. The young artist has already dabbled in dancing, acting, and has even presented his own TV program. But he cannot escape his passion for music. So, he has now sets his creativity on steadily making a name for himself in the music industry. His music brand already counts two popular music releases, “High” and the newly debuted “Moonlight”. 1 In Music: What is unique about you and your music?
Raféu [R]: First of all, I believe everyone is unique on their own. There is just one you. What i think would make me unique is my life experience or my life path..growing in Berlin with diverse cultures and trained in singing, dancing, acting at a young age..performing in several occasions at a young age (i.g choreography and performing for the Bangladeshi prime minister at the Adlon hotel or havein/creating on my own television show etc) that different experience and influences of people and coming with their stories and music makes me who i am today and my music..
1 In Music: What or who shaped your music and who supports you?
R: Like I said before, My different cultural backgrounds and influences in diffrent music genre and taste like rnb, soul, bengali Folk/pop, gospel, Bollywood and the general pop music of the last century..there would be a lot of names which some poeple would know or not.
1 In Music: When did you realise you were going to make music professionally?
R: Maybe this sounds very simple, but when I get payed for the first time :) and I got recognition by people or radio etc
1 In Music: What type of music do you listen to?
R: Many genres. I dont dicriminate between any music genre..i listen to everything
1 In Music: Who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist?
R: Currently, me! haha
1 In Music: How do you prepare for your performances?
R: As per usual, practice practice and again practice with yourself, your coach, or your creative director, etc :)
1 In Music: What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
R: Reading books ,watching movies and of course still listening music unconscious or conscious :)
1 In Music: To you, Success is…?
R: … a perspective and archiving your type of goals..especially if it makes you happy and feeling a fire/burn inside to move forward with your life (ups and downs .. doesn’t matter)
1 In Music: What do you wish you were told when you started out and that you think would help anyone who starts out?
R: keep going and dont stop ..bad and good days work hand in hand but if you keep working towards with a good health work balance, you will not regret anything

R: Currently, my song Moonlight is out. After that, I will be releasing my first EP with more surprises! :)
