Born in Texas to Salvadoran parents, Angello Black lived with his single mother. As a young child he remembers going to El Salvador and listening to an artist by the name of El General (Reggaeton). His sound rescinded with him for years to come. “I felt his music through my veins and from there on I made a decision that I wanted to one day make music like that” At the young age of 10 Angello’s mom could no longer financially or emotionally support her son that she had no choice but put him in foster care. Throughout the years he lived with several families, the last of which he grew very close to. His foster Grandma, who was a singer herself, inspired and encouraged him to pursue a musical career.
He began exploring the sounds he heard around him and has developed into a hip-hop artist primed for superstardom with a growing fan base stretching from the U.S, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. His sound reflects the life he has lived and sets it to compositions. It is an amalgamation of today’s boss hip-hop tones with rhymes displaying a feverishly versatile Latin swagger, taking cues and lessons from his influences such as Jay Z, Eminem, Young Jezzy, and Tego Calderon just to name a few who have laid the groundwork before him. Angello Black has also been writing private projects for television programming, commercials, ads, and movie trailers for a while now as an in-demand independent artist, including for brands such as Warner Bro’s , Buzz Feed Netflix, and Toyota. We meet the music artist, writer and producer as he embarks on a promotional tour of 2018 with the release of three tunes he wrote, produced and released “Rap Don”, “Chapulin” and “Cumpleaños”.
1 In Music: Hi Angello, welcome. What is unique about your music?
Angello Black [AB]: Throughout the years listening and learning from big moguls, I’ve found my own niche to capitalize on. It is very mainstream, Latin/English mix EDM, trap, hip-hop and rap giving me that crossover sound.
1 In Music: What/who shaped your music and who supports you?
AB: First and foremost my team, company and my fans. Without them, there wouldn’t be an Angello.
1 In Music: When did you realise you were going to make music professionally?
AB: After High School.
1 In Music: What type of music do you listen to?
AB: I have a huge variety of music and artist that I listen to on a daily basis. I listen most to Classical and meditational music mostly as instrumental music, as well as Latin music, top 40 , Hip-Hop and Trap.
1 In Music: Who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist?
AB: I honestly wouldn’t know. There are so many artists out there. Hard to keep up with everyone.
1 In Music: How do you prepare for your performances?
AB: I go for the full process, workout, have a Health diet, Meditation, Rehearsal. I synchronise with my DJ and band.
1 In Music: What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
AB: I work my business, produce music for myself and collaborate with clients in their own unique projects, film cinematography and photography.

AB: Learn the business and practice your talent daily.
